Need metal bottlecaps

This may sound like weird request but if anyone who reads this still drinks out of glass bottles (soda, beer, etc.) that have metal bottle caps and you want to recycle your bottle caps, email me.

Okay, it’s not really recycling them, it’s more “upcycling”. I have a use for them so it’s reusing (upcycling) them rather than just tossing them in the garbage.

If the bottle caps are in decent condition, I’ll pay you for them.

Green Mother's Day

Mother's Day is this Sunday. This year forego giving the mainstream gifts and opt for either homemade gifts from items you already have at home, or do something rather than buying something. Use ecards rather than store bought cards. You can send some great cards from Care2.com. By sending ecards from Care2.com you're making a difference by generating donations to a variety of organizations as well as the green factor of… Continue

The R's

Normally people refer to it as the 3 R’s:
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle

But I’d like to add a few to that:
Rejoice: knowing that you’re making a difference in the world
Rejuvenate: what you do to an item when you Reuse it
Resurrect: what you can do to old items that you may have originally thought were trashed
Repair: what you can do to items to ensure they’re Resurrected

update on container gardening

Ok, as previously promised here are updated pics of the patio garden. Running out of room on the patio! I used 100% recycled plastic containers to grow a lot of the flowers and veggies in, as well as Earth Box and Stack & Grow systems. So as you'll see I have a lot going on here showing that you can grow your own foods, even on a 3rd floor apartment patio! Of course it doesn't mean you won't get weird looks from people across from you, wondering what the heck you're doing out there but hey w… Continue
