Why do you try to be a green parent?
i am not yet a parent but I aspire to help push the envelope to supplement, and in the end, replace conventional thinking and products with environmentally sustainable ideas and products. I believe green is not only safer and healthier for us and the environment but that green products, green building etc. are all genuinely stylish, interesting and more evolved than our conventional options. When I have kids, I want them to grow up knowing and caring about the environment and part of that (for better or for worse) is becoming a green consumer.
Also, I have started a company selling green gift baskets because I want to be a participant in the green economy, in alliance with other folks. Green businesses need educated consumers to help make purchasing decisions that contemplate our impact, so I believe blogs like this are very important. www.thegreenperspective.com
