Green Parents

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh learn something new every day!
or learn that you're really S L O W in figuring things out! lol

Did you know that cucumber plants/leaves can be an irritant?
http://www.articlealley.com/article_489570_17.html
I found out the hard way
when I first got the cucumber plant I felt "burning/itching" but only slightly and I had touched so many things that day I didn't realize it was from the cucumber plant.
Then when I transplanted the plant same thing...
still didn't put 2 & 2 together
then today i was just out on patio doing things and touched cucumber plant & leaves and had MAJOR burning/itching/tingling in hands....
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh now I decide to ask online if anyone knows if cuc plants/leaves can be an irritant and lo and behold my friends on twitter referred me to
http://www.articlealley.com/article_489570_17.html
sooooo now I'm showered, scrubbed and feeling better
and now I know not to touch the danged plant and leaves...should be interesting gettin cucs off there when they start to grow!

Well I wasn't totally convinced that it was the cucumber plants soooooooooooooo stupid me, went back out to touch and play w/the leaves and stems again just to make sure and YEP!!! they give me major reaction!!! lol my hands and arms get tingly, itching, burning and sensations run through...soooo yea now I won't be touching those again! but I do have lots of cucumbers in process of sprouting...have to go get 'fence' for them to climb/hang from though.
